Yes! Hypnosis is a proven neurological state. Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based modality endorsed by the AMA since 1958, and backed by decades of NIH-supported research showing real nervous system rewiring. If someone tells you it’s “just placebo,” they are factually incorrect, and have over 75 years of research to catch up on :)

Clients often say hypnosis feels like being in a deep daydream. For many, it’s the most relaxed they’ve ever felt while awake. Contrary to what we see in movies, the client remains awake, aware and in control of their thoughts, communication, and actions.

The first time we meet, we’ll start by talking in-depth about the presenting issue and its history. I’ll then spend a few minutes talking about the modern neuroscience of hypnosis, so you can understand and trust that your brain is already really good at it! Once you’re ready, we’ll go into hypnosis, and debrief/integrate after.

Absolutley. Clients that are the most concerned about relaxing into hypnosis are often the ones that go the deepest the fastest. The techniques we use bypass everything that normally makes relaxing difficult… and when your brain feels something that finally works, it takes the opportunity!

Yes! Many of my clients are referred by their therapist, psychologist, doctor, etc. Hypnotherapy is great as a standalone modality, and can also bring new breakthroughs and perspectives to your work with your current practitioner. I even do lots of work with the client, their therapist, and myself together in the same session.

Feeling great! Benefits can include increased nervous system regulation, energy, modification of habits and limiting beliefs, reorientation with past memories and events, stress reduction, greater comfort in social situations, exploration of inner knowledge and much more. You leave the session fully functional (able to drive, etc) and feeling awesome.
